The Intellectual Property Office in Brazil is administered by INPI. Headquartered in Rio De Jeneiro, INPI has offices in all the states of the country.

PROTECTION OF TRADEMARKS IN BRAZIL:
- National Registration – Direct Filing with National Trademark Office
- International Registration – Through Madrid System for international trademark protection.
Therefore, to obtain protection in Brazil, there are two options from which the applicant can choose.
